angelica you are wanted

The super cool swedish blogger Angelica Blick has designed some items for nelly.com, and I'm having some serious cravings on some of the pieces.
Check out this dress and these shoes! Man, and look, together they are fierce. They are already placed in the shopping cart, but to buy or not to buy... It's been a while since I online sopped, so can I?

my new cap in real photobooth action

My new black cap from H&M (9.95€). I'm so liking it.

put a cap on it

The coolest thing right night from the eyebrows and up is the cap. Correct.
Yes, I'm starting to get very into this cap thing that seems to be going on atm. As a matter of fact, I got so taken by the cap invasion, that I had to have one my self! So I rushed to a store I usually never shop at; H&M (this is ironic if you didn't already get that), and purchased a black cap. BYE BYE bad hair-days and screw you autumn rain. I'm going to put on a cap, look somewhat fab and, yes, be practical.

I searched the web for you non cap'lers, to show you how chic a cap really can be. And to be inspired in how to style it as well, obviously. Take a look;

Want them caps? Here's a few caps only a few clicks away,
located in the dangerous world of online shopping...

Are you joining in on the capping?

new shoes is good news

I have been on the lookout for a pair of black pumps. Almost all the heels I own are either boots or wedges, and I really needed some plain pumps or something nice with a "slimmer" heel. And now I found them.
Not that these are like plain stilettos or anything, they're still very chunky, but they were just what I was looking for. A pair of pumps with a little extra. Or actually what I was looking for I found in Topshop in CPH, but for the price, these were more me (read suitable for my current broke situation). 35€, not bad.

But since Skopunkten, the store I bought the shoes from, had a "buy 2 get one pair for free", or "buy one pair pay half price on the second pair", I also bought another pair. Again a pair I have been drooling over for a year...so I guess it was okay!
40€. Score.

Autumn; you can bring it!

red matte nails with a twist

I'm really getting into this nail painting thing. I think it's because I'm reunited with my huge nail-polish collection again, after so many months apart. They are placed here on my desk, so when I'm watching stuff online I find myself painting my nails. Why not?
Anyways, here's yesterdays result.

Rusty red nail-polish topped off with a matte coat.

news in the closet

I was so looking forward to doing a little shopping in CPH, which I totally did, but I'm not gonna bore you with showing everything here. Just flashing some of the items, that's all.

This black dress from H&M is so nice and comfy. It's flowy and has an open back, and is shorter in the front than the back. I'll style it with a thin belt to give shape, or just let it hang to create a more dramatic look, with a statement necklace maybe.
I'm trying out the whites aswell. This top is from H&M trend, and just had to come home with me.
This might not be the most fashionable piece of clothing I own, but it just might be the softest! I'm trying to build up a basic wardrobe, and this delicate wool cardigan is a sure hit for many years to come! Cos had piles of other cool things as well, but I guess I did good in only spending on this one.

So true!
I stumbled across this picture on stylejunkie's blog, and I just had to share.
(to also prepare for the next post, which just might include some shopping...)

that copenhagen

Copenhagen is and will always be my city. Even if there are some who are doing their best to take that away from me, I can't deny the spell the city has on me. I simply love it. And I know that I will move back - at some point. That point is not yet though, there are some matters that prevent me from moving there, and then there are reasons I don't want to move there, at least not yet. Hopefully I can get over some of my fear and issues I have now, and soon start to think about moving back there, to mentally prepare. Until then, I'm trying to enjoy it, even though I'm afraid of running into people I wish not to see. It went rather painless the last time. Fingers crossed next time will be as good :)

Here are some snapshots I manage to take while visiting Denmark, and the most wonderful Copenhagen.
First of all, and the main purpose for our trip to DK was to successfully escort my little brother to his new home. He is now attending 10th grade in a sports specialized school, where he will spend the next year. Running is mandatory and part of the everyday wakeup routine. Good luck with that.
One child comes back home and the other one leaves.

Anyways:
There's nothing like the cheap hipster cool relaxed cozy environment at Nørrebro. And enjoying a organic bottled beer a sunday evening with friends, in a full crowd of life-loving cool copenhagenians is just way better than sitting at home in rainy Naantali watching The Biggest Loser. Just saying.
The bars in Nørrebro are small and worn down, but the atmosphere is so very far from that.

Then waking up to a complete danish breakfast is simply awesome. Rye-bread from the bakery and chocolate on top of it is what I could eat everyday, all day.
Cheap and chic. Or just plain X-tra cheap...

Nothing beats biking in Copenhagen. Your bicycle is your best friend, if you're not up for public transport, and will take you anywhere in notime!
Except for when one of the bridges are broken and no traffic can come across. Or when it's raining heavy DK rain and the wind is blowing you off your bike into the traffic...that's a major shitfest. But except for that biking is super great!
And did I mention bike riding über cool too?

Strøget, the walking street crossing the heart of Copenhagen is so lovely in the summer. Sitting by the fountain having a coffee, or sitting by the canals enjoying some sushi(or/with beer) just might make a trip to CPH worth the while.
And along the street you can find some 1.class shopping. The H&M is huge and was frequently visited during my visit...erhm...

And after a hard day of doing nothing, shopping, working, studying, sightseeing, you must stop by one of the places to just hang out and have a beer. It can be a park or a bar, by the canals, or in our case, on the bridge to Nørrebro. Even the half warm beer from the minimart tastes great in the Nørrebro evening sun.
Perfect place for some prime time people watching; one of my favorite hobbies.

I met up with Maria, and we continued the tradition of over-consuming the buffet at Riz-Raz. Lunch there is the perfect place to catch up, and yeah, eat up. Lunch was followed by, guess what, SHOPPING!

And you can not go to DK without having a sausage at the sausage stand. In my case, I had quite a few.
And a red sausage hotdog is just so good! With extra roasted (fried?) onions!
Tanja is eagerly awaiting her hotdog.
Yumyum.

Thx girls for the best time!!! The hotdog says hi!

weekend reading

I had to stack up on supplies whilst in DK. I bought 3 danish magazines, Costume, Cover and Eurowoman, and while driving through Sweden I grabbed along the swedish ELLE as well.
September issue is the biggest right?!

I also heard a little bird tweet about a new finnish Costume? Must go check it out immediately. It's on the agenda for after work today, along with going to see the new Batman.
Later!

black leo nails

Today I'm working the coolest nails ever. After a night of not being able to sleep you start getting creatve. Or desperate. Yesterday I got creative, and painted my nails black, with a shiny black polish. Then I topped it with OPI's black shatter, that shatters the shiny polish with a matte black color. And voila! Black leo manicure!
